splinter: to break into small, sharp pieces

baffled: extremely confused or puzzled

enthral: to keep someone completely interested

perish:  If material such as rubber or leather perishes, it decays and starts to break into pieces

damnation: expressing anger or frustration

prance: to walk in an energetic way and with more movement than necessary

(When a horse prances, it takes small, quick steps and raises its legs higher than usual)

staggered: very shocked or surprised

reel back: To be shocked, bemused, or unable to think clearly (due to an intense emotional reaction to something).

have a fit: be very shocked or angry

bellow: to shout in a loud voice, or (of a cow or large animal) to make a loud, deep sound

sing out: to say or shout something loudly

dawn on: to begin to be understood or realized by (someone) for the first time 

gingerly: in a careful or cautious manner

run through: use or spend something recklessly or rapidly.

gizzard: a part of bird's stomach that has thick muscles, where food is ground down (= broken into small pieces by pressing or squeezing), especially with very small stones

blighter: a person who is regarded with contempt, irritation, or pity

bounder: a dishonorable man

villain: (in a film, novel, or play) a character whose evil actions or motives are important to the plot

collar: to catch and hold someone so that they cannot escape

pressing: urgent or needing to be dealt with immediately

whinny: (of a horse) to make a soft, high sound

guzzle: to drink quickly, eagerly, and usually in large amounts

cast your eyse over something: to look at, consider, or read something very quickly

gullet: the tube that food travels down in the body from the mouth to the stomach (식도)

cascade: a large amount of something that hangs down

set something alight: to begin to burn
